Name origin:
The mineral with this chemical composition was described by Nambu et.al(1969) and named kôzulite for Shukusuke Kôzu (1880-1955), Japanese mineralogist, Tohoku University. The original publications was without proper structure refinement, which was not prepared until 2010 by Barkley et. al (2010).
